Code compliance

Overview

The goal of the Code Compliance Department is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of our residents, as well as maintain aesthetic quality of the community. We strive to achieve this goal with education of Town codes and promotion of quality health standards.


common violations

  • Weeds and grass should not exceed a height of 12 inches
  • Grass over 12 inches in height that is not regularly cultivated
  • Any property containing rubbish, trash, stagnant water, or any other impure or unwholesome matter
  • All vehicles must be parked on a standard driveway or approved parking space
  • Any vehicle which is inoperable, does not have a valid registration or inspection, and is visible from a public right-of-way
  • Persons holding garage sales may place up to six off-premise signs on private property, with owner's permission
