Sunnyvale Residents Praise Town's Quality of Life
Earlier this year, more than 700 Sunnyvale residents participated in a "livability"
survey. Nine of every 10 of those gave excellent or good ratings to Sunnyvale as a place to live. They also indicated they would recommend living in Sunnyvale to others and are likely to remain in Sunnyvale for the next five years.
About three-quarters gave positive ratings to the sense of community in the Town and how the community values and respects residents from diverse backgrounds. All of these ratings are above the national average.
This feedback came from The National Community Survey (NCS) conducted by Polco, an innovative online engagement platform that lets community members provide direct input to our local decision-making process regarding policies and programs.
In addition to the initial benchmarking survey, this platform will also allow Town officials to post questions directly to residents on Polco’s app and website, where participants answer and comment on the issues. Polco makes public participation easier for residents to get involved, so more voices are heard. Residents who register on the Polco can opt to receive notifications of any future survey or polling efforts Sunnyvale conducts.
Responses are anonymous, and personal information is securely stored by our survey host, Polco. Polco is committed to a strict privacy policy—they only share anonymous, combined results. Participants’ individual data and votes are never shared.
